September 21, Source: And for another superlative, it is still the best show on cable TV right now. Granted, it is an extremely taxing episode, and will undoubtedly tug at your heartstrings. Most of the time, a TV show is productive when there is motion — emotionally, physically, metaphorically. Any time viewers are asked to sit in place, to let the loose ends sort themselves out, they lose patience. Rick is all alone if you exclude his radio , Glenn and Nicholas are isolated in the alleyways of a town the latter man once visited on a run, and at least one Alexandrian is making a name for himself: Thus, there is plenty of motion. Or so it seems. As a matter of fact, it may have been the most emotional moment in the show since we lost Hershel in season four.
Negan’s victims revealed on brutal season seven premiere of The Walking Dead Online
To say that I have a lot of words and feelings about the misdirection of the show is a grand understatement. Amid that smorgasbord of sweat, guns, and misinformation , one sliver of hope emerged: Pollyanna and “that Asian boy” Sex and romance will always find their time and place, no matter the storyline or setting.
It’s later revealed that Pete is abusing her, leading to a brutal conflict between him and Rick.
Well, for now at least… Thanks to last night’s episode of The Walking Dead, we now know that Steven Yeun is officially still a part of zombie-killing cast , but for how much longer? This Sunday’s mid-season finale of the smash AMC drama promises to be an adrenaline-pumping hour, jam-packed with guts, gore and, most likely, a few gruesome deaths.
So to find out what’s next for Glenn and the gang, ETonline called up TWD newbie Katelyn Nacon — who plays orphaned outsider Enid — to get the scoop on keeping Glenn’s survival a secret, and what’s to come in The Walking Dead’s last episode of How long have you known that Glenn was alive, and what was your initial reaction when you found out? I found out when I got the script during this summer and I freaked out.
Oh god, I freaked out so much. I love the character Glenn, so I was so excited, first off that he wasn’t dead and secondly that Enid was going to be able to work with him. I couldn’t even tell anyone that I was working with Steven because then that would give it away that he was not dead.
Is Glenn Dead on The Walking Dead Yes, No, Maybe So
Appearances[ edit ] Comic book series[ edit ] Resourceful and clever, Glenn makes it out of Atlanta and comes up on the group of survivors on the outer limits of the city. Due to his knack for scavenging, he is often nominated to sneak into the city and find supplies. On one of these runs, he finds group leader Rick Grimes and brings him back to the group, reuniting them with his family.
Maggie eventually realizes this and confronts Glenn about his feelings and they start a relationship.
The group celebrate as Abraham makes a toast.
Usually the story arcs of major–and minor–characters go full circle. Sophia, Carol’s daughter, went missing, causing a girlhunt that ended with her emergence from Hershel’s barn as a walker. Beth went missing for a number of episodes before turning up captive in a “hospital” and was then shot in the head by Dawn, going directly to dead without passing zombie. Merle went from a rooftop to Woodbury to a prison to killed by the Governor to kill-killed by Daryl.
Even Morgan, after infrequent appearances, has reappeared in a big way: But not Glenn — at least, three episodes later, not yet. He fell off a dumpster and skillfully landed with the dead Nicholas on top of him. Did he crawl under the dumpster? Did the zombies somehow ignore the fact his face was showing and therefore a buffet item?
Who knows; according to showrunner Scott Gimple, “So I’ll say this: In some way, we will see Glenn, some version of Glenn, or parts of Glenn again, either in flashback or in the current story, to help complete the story. And which drives Walking Dead fans crazy. Of course The Walking Dead isn’t real life. Yet aside from speculating as to why fan-favorite Daryl only seems tonight aside to appear in most episodes for no more than a couple of minutes — if you were playing a drinking game where you drank whenever Daryl spoke you’d always be sober — one of the best aspects of the show is the way it makes you think about what you would do in similar circumstances.
Here’s Who Negan Killed On The Emotional ‘Walking Dead’ Premiere
Negan first appeared in Issue back in , and ended up becoming a major player over the course of nine volumes. And given how seemingly invincible Negan seems now, you might be surprised at where he ends up. But his murder of Glenn in the comics was the first of many violent deaths that he either directly or indirectly contributed to.
It was something that he wanted to do and felt was right and he didn’t want to change that just because the world is changing.
But was it really a surprise? Last season, Glenn appeared to die after falling into a horde of walkers in episode , with tricky editing designed to make it look like the fan-favorite character was being torn apart by zombies. To further manipulate the audience, the show even removed Yeun’s name from the opening credits for several episodes, as it has previously done whenever a main character dies.
Still, the producers’ decision to play coy with Glenn’s fate during the subsequent episode of Talking Dead meant that viewers were kept in suspense, uncertain of his status. It took four episodes to learn that Glenn actually survived the seemingly unsurvivable situation by using the body of Nicholas as a shield before climbing under a dumpster and hiding out until the walkers dispersed, all without getting a scratch or bite. It was a narrative contortion that undermined the show’s credibility.
We never really learned about Glenn’s backstory or saw flashbacks to his past, and when last season’s fake out occurred, he knew Maggie was pregnant, so the stakes were already high for him. To make matters worse, we now have to witness Maggie going through the trauma of losing him twice. And the fact that Scott Gimple revealed that these deaths have been planned for about two years only makes that previous dumpster dive seem more manipulative.

They’re still part of you. If you stop being you, that last bit of them that’s still around inside, who you are He is the main supply runner for the Atlanta camp group , and he saved Rick Grimes from walker -infested Atlanta, bringing him back to his camp to reunite him with his family.

November 9, Warning: So, to give us something to really talk about, it appears the writers felt it was time to reestablish some roots we had all but given up on. One of those people is Denise Merritt Wever —the psychiatrist turned surgeon who, despite her limited knowledge of medicine, must get past her self-doubt and try her hardest to move into this new role.
When the Wolves broke through the gates a few episodes back, Denise was unable to save a life and Tara reminded her that she is a doctor because she tried. A long time ago when no one was watching, Tara put her fears to the side to survive. A giant mass of walkers broke out of a quarry, and by now half of them are here just outside the gates of Alexandria.
He taunts them and threatens to give them a taste of their own medicine.
Random Article Blend The Walking Dead has killed off a whole bunch of characters by this point in Season 9, and a great many fans are expecting another very big death to take place sooner rather than later. One of the biggest deaths of the entire series happened when Negan beat Glenn to death with Lucille. It was straight out the pages of the comics and many fans saw it coming, but the brutality was still shocking to behold.
Sadly, Glenn’s death meant the departure of actor Steven Yeun, who was recently quoted as saying that he had no interest in reprising his role in the future. Now, Yeun has clarified his stance on whether or not he’d play Glenn again, saying this: That was a very aggressively quoted version of what I said from that thing. I think I was just kind of saying, I don’t want to go back to young Glenn.
Not only could I not do that physically, I don’t look like the kid that I started as at But also, mentally, that character was just such in a different place that for me to go back there, I think it would be not good for anyone. From a practical standpoint, Steven Yeun at age 34 can’t pass for Steven Yeun at age 25, when he swooned on set. Other actors — including Andrew Lincoln and possibly Jon Bernthal in Season 9 — played flashback versions of themselves for the show, but filming a flashback to young Glenn is apparently not something that Yeun is interested in.
That Glenn was long gone anyway by the time he was killed by Negan. It would be downright strange to see Yeun try to play Glenn the pizza man again. From a personal standpoint, Steven Yeun’s life has changed a great deal since he wrapped his time as a regular on The Walking Dead.
In Sunday night’s heartbreaking and gut-wrenching literally! Glenn Is the Ultimate Survivor: If there’s one thing that The Walking Dead is known for, it’s giving just and dignified deaths — and this was not Glenn’s. Dying at the hands of a coward like Nicholas is not how Glenn would — or should!

Monday 4 December Eugene is Negan and it seems like he has been without realising it from the moment we met him back in season 4. As he tells an ailing Gabriel Seth Gilliam , currently suffering from organ infections after slathering himself in walker guts a few weeks back, surviving is the only thing Eugene knows how to do. Dwight Austin Amelio learns this frustratedly after preaching to a sentimentality Eugene no longer has by mentioning the names of his presumed friends – Rick, Daryl, Rosita.
The Walking Dead midseason 8 finale trailer has fans very worried Negan – clearly concerned Eugene’s allegiance is teetering back to his nemesis – deals out the manipulation. The malice that Dwight once possessed has been transposed to Eugene and it’s for that reason that Eugene could be the most dangerous character featured on The Walking Dead.
